One of the most beautiful streets in all of Italy. It is lined with 16th-century palaces, each an architectural gem in itself, featuring ornate entrances, stucco decorations, inner courtyards, staircases, and a treasure trove of artworks. A prime example is Palazzo Carrega-Cataldi (No. 4), which today houses Genoa’s Chamber of Commerce. It has a magnificent entrance hall, a large reception area, and a golden Rococo-style gallery. Other notable buildings worth visiting include Palazzo Bianco (No. 11) and opposite it Palazzo Rosso (No. 18), each housing an art gallery.
