Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods)

Address: Agerola, Metropolitan City of Naples

For those traveling by car along the Amalfi Coast, this destination is another stunning viewpoint of the amazing area.

It’s a walking trail along the Lattari mountain range, between two coastal points — the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts — stretching about 9 km (approximately 3.5 hours of walking). Along the route, you’ll find scenic terraces, Mediterranean vegetation, and wooden benches, with breathtaking views accompanying you nonstop. The trail connects the towns of Bomerano and Nocelle.

The name, “Path of the Gods,” comes from the legend that the gods passed here to save Ulysses from the sirens’ song.

There are two “Path of the Gods” routes:

Sentiero Alto (the high path) — starts in the town of Santa Maria Del Castello and is slightly more difficult due to uphill sections.

Sentiero Basso (the low path) — crosses through Nocelle and is recommended for those who prefer an easier walk.

Along the trail, you can also find bars and restaurants with stunning views, such as Il Caffè degli Dei or Chiosco Sentiero degli Dei.
