For the perfect shopping trip!
Yes, Milan, despite its expensive reputation, allows everyone to enjoy shopping at various price levels and to find high-quality, beautiful, and Made in Italy products.
So where should one shop in Milan?
Haute Couture
In Milan, there are several places where you can find the pinnacle of Italian and global fashion. Prices are sky-high, and design – that’s a matter of taste and smell – and as is well known, it’s not up for debate.
The first and most famous of them all is The Golden Rectangle = Moda Quadrilatero dela
Bounded by four main streets: Via Monte Napoleone, Via Sant`Andrea, Via Senato, Via Manzoni, although in all the adjacent alleys, you’ll find many more boutique shops (Via della Spiga is a great example of a fashion pedestrian street hidden in the heart of the rectangle)
How to get there: Located 7 minutes’ walk from Milan’s cathedral. When facing the stunning church – take the left avenue Corso Vittorio Emanuele to the Piazza San Babbila square. There, turn left onto Via Giacomo Matteotti, and on the second turn, turn right onto the main street of the golden rectangle – Via Monte Napoleone.
What will you find here: There’s no serious world-renowned fashion designer who won’t open at least one store here and showcase the latest scream from their creative house. Gucci, Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and many more!
You don’t have to spend hundreds or thousands of euros, but it’s worth strolling through the luxurious neighborhood and enjoying the sparkling atmosphere.
Looking for an amazing café in the rectangle? Check out the impressive COVA Café – the most Milanese spot there is.
The third place in the luxury stores category offered by Milan is undoubtedly an amazing store, the pinnacle of contemporary Milanese design, located near the GARIBALDI metro station. CORSO COMO 10, is a contemporary, chic, and inspiring fashion complex, featuring a designer store, stylish café and restaurant, a contemporary art gallery, and even a boutique hotel with 3 rooms. Definitely worth a visit. https://www.10corsocomo.com/
2- Regular fashion prices in Italy
You can buy Italian clothing and fashion in Milan at much more reasonable prices.
Corso Vittorio Emanuele is the street in Milan (to your left when facing the cathedral). Quality stores with excellent Italian fashion. Many major brands have placed their flagship stores in this main street of Milan, including ZARA and H&M.
Don’t miss the chance, even just for the experience, to peek into the RINASCENTE Milano Duomo – a part of Milan’s fashionable landscape for over 150 years. Seven floors of brands with a café on the seventh floor overlooking the Duomo. Wow.
Not far from the Duomo, you will find two more streets with a lot of Italian fashion at reasonable prices:
Via Torino – which runs from the southwest corner of the Piazza del Duomo and continues westward along with all the important streets, including the significant street that leads out of Porta Venezia.
The second street is Corso Buenos Aires.
In these two streets, the prices are indeed reasonable, and you can find fantastic Italian fashion.
