About
All our lives we, Yair and Ariel Di Castro, siblings of parents of Italian descent (Rome), had a dream – to express in a written and accessible way to everyone, the vast and endless knowledge we have accumulated in 30 years of tour guiding and itinerary planning in Italy, its many regions and provinces.
So what happened all of a sudden?
The covid-19 pandemic had left us without prior notice with a lot of free time. This was the first step in establishing ALLORA – a large and comprehensive global blog about Italy.
While writing, we felt like we were getting into our own Fiat Cinquecento and started driving to all the better known and lesser known places in Italy, to bring them all to you.
Quite at first we added to the journey Ms. Orna Noy, who is in love with Italy, and we became a trio that eats and breathes Italy…
What is the purpose of the blog?: To provide an answer to everything people are looking for about Italy in general and before traveling to it in particular: when to travel and where, for how many days, where and what to see in each and every region, how to properly prepare for the trip to Italy (flight, car rental, accommodation), Recommendations for restaurants, ice cream parlors, museums, tourist attractions, local guides, wineries, dairies, cooking courses – everything!!!!
In addition: to enrich the readers with short stories and anecdotes about thousands of different and varied topics about Italy.
The ambition – to become the source of knowledge about Italy for everyone who travels to Italy: before, during and after the trip.
