The main basilica, although it is not the city’s principal church. It was founded at the end of the 14th century and was intended to be the largest in the world. The church’s façade is unfinished, and the red and white colors at the lower part of the façade are the colors of the city of Bologna. Inside, you can see special paintings, impressive Gothic architecture, decorated chapels, and wooden choir stalls that form a very impressive puzzle-like work. A visit here is highly recommended.
