Not far from the Palazzo della Giustizia (Supreme Court) and just a minute’s walk from Piazza Cavour, stands the Neo-Gothic church that strongly resembles the magnificent Milan Cathedral, earning it the nickname by Romans as the “Little Duomo.”
The church was built between 1896 and 1914 and consecrated in 1921. Inside, you will find the Museum of the Souls of Purgatory, which displays documents from deceased individuals who attempted to communicate with the living to seek assistance in purifying their souls before entering heaven.
