A town on the border of the Campania region and the southern gateway to the Molise region. The town is known for its “33 churches,” some of which no longer exist, and for its ancient fortress, built over the years and now home to an art gallery.
In the town center stands a church that, over time, was stripped of its Baroque decorations and restored to its original medieval appearance, alongside the Church of the Annunciation, which retains a typical Baroque style.
