Prices in Italy

How to plan your expenses on your trip to Italy

Everything you wanted to know about prices in Italy - accommodation, restaurants, public transport, attractions, and more

Italy is perhaps the most beautiful country in the world. Many would agree with us. With 20 amazing regions, each one offers so much to see and do, with different and diverse attractions in every region or area. The great art cities like Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan, the stunning countryside areas of Tuscany, the Langhe in Piedmont, and Umbria, the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terre, the Dolomites or the Alps, and the unique islands of Sicily and Sardinia.
To see the endless beauty of Italy, even a whole year wouldn’t be enough. On the other hand, with proper planning, it’s possible to visit most of the sites on a weekend trip or a week-long journey, and if possible, extend a few days. It’s all a matter of planning and preparation.
Due to its size and beauty, there’s no reason to rush and do it all at once. Our recommendation: focus on one of the beautiful areas of the boot-shaped country and the type of terrain you choose to explore, take your time, and enjoy it slowly and peacefully. The other areas aren’t going anywhere.
Italy suits every type of trip and any group composition. You can travel as backpackers, especially if you are among the younger crowd, as a couple, with friends, or on an organized tour. For average travel costs, you can experience it like kings and enjoy the endless luxuries it offers. Whatever type of trip you choose – Dolce Vita, the good life awaits you.
The cost of a trip to Italy is based on the following components:
