A street in the center of Cremona that begins at Piazza del Duomo — picturesque and pleasant, hiding a few surprises. The street is named after one of Italy’s hardest battles in the War of Independence, the Battle of Solferino, after which the Red Cross was founded.
On this street stands Negozio Sperlari, a pastry and sweets shop operating since 1836, where you can taste the local delicacy Torrone (a type of Italian nougat), for which Cremona is a production center. The street also features other shops, well-known cafés, and luxury brands.
