Southeast of Trieste lies a wonderful nature reserve. The 15 km long Rosandra River leads to neighboring Slovenia, along which you can admire a 30-meter high waterfall, wooded areas, remnants of ancient buildings, the old railway route that has been transformed into a cycling path, and very rich vegetation: hundreds of plant species, thousands of types of fungi, and a variety of special mosses.
