The port of Genoa is considered the largest in Italy. Alongside the constant view of yachts and ferry docks departing for the islands and Africa, the area underwent significant renewal and transformation after Genoa hosted the Expo exhibition in 1992.

The old cotton warehouses were replaced with cinema pavilions, creative spaces, a children’s museum, science and nature corners, shops, cafés, and restaurants.
