Portofino, at the heart of the Italian Riviera, is considered the most elegant seaside resort town in Italy. Access to this tourist gem is typically through the nearby towns of Rapallo and Santa Margherita, both charming coastal destinations in their own right. Upon arriving in Portofino—whose name means “the small harbor”—the most striking sight is the luxurious yachts moored in its tiny harbor.
