Giuseppe Verdi Square has undergone many changes to reach its current, more modern and contemporary appearance. A French architect incorporated into the square’s design colorful, square-shaped arches, a totem, and greenery set among renovated buildings. Particularly striking is the post office building, with its distinctly Fascist style—large and functional, managing to diminish the individual in contrast to the power of the structure. Here you’ll also find several cafés and the starting points of main streets leading to different parts of the city.
