Another central spot and popular meeting point for the city’s residents, where you can enjoy a good glass of wine, dine at a local osteria, or explore the daily morning market. On the western side of the square stands the Church of San Giacomo, with a front balcony that once allowed the public to participate in Mass without entering the church.
The other three sides of the square are lined with arcades, offering shelter from rain or sun as you stroll past shops, cafés, and delicatessens. At the center of the square stands a 15th-century fountain, crafted by the local artist Giovanni da Udine.
