Peschiera del Garda is located at the southeastern point of the lake, in the province of Verona. Peschiera is a very popular resort town and has a small, active port from which you can reach other towns around the lake. Among its streets are waterways, and from it flows the Mincio River, which drains the waters of Lake Garda and flows south. Alongside the streets and inviting alleys that encourage visitors to stroll and enjoy a variety of souvenirs, gelaterias, restaurants, and shops, it is recommended to visit two sites: the historic fortress, which has undergone many changes in its structure and uses. The Venetian defensive walls have been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2017. The second and unique place is Laghetto del Frassino, a small lake that is a paradise of nature, vegetation, and wildlife.
