The Red Palace (Palazzo Rosso), officially Palazzo Brignole Sale, is a museum located on Via Garibaldi in the historic center of Genoa. It is part of Strada Nuova, a route of well-preserved and notable buildings collectively known as Palazzi dei Rolli. Along with Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Doria Tursi, it offers museums with impressive art collections.

This museum houses works by some of the greatest painters of Italy and beyond, including Van Dyck, Guido Reni, Paolo Veronese, Albrecht Dürer, and others. The building itself was constructed in the 1660s for the Brignole-Sale family. Its layout is U-shaped, with two wings connected by a central loggia.

By the 19th century, it was described as a well-maintained building, richly decorated and filled with valuable objects. In 1847, the last descendant of the family donated the palace to the city, and it officially became a museum in 1961.

In 2006, it was included on the UNESCO list of protected buildings, along with 42 other buildings in Genoa’s historic center.
