Imperia sits on the Ligurian Sea and is considered the capital of the Flower Riviera, which stretches from here toward the French border. The city has two main districts: Oneglia and Porto Maurizio.

The urban center is in Oneglia, known for its covered streets, shops, squares, and an olive oil museum. A recommended site is the charming and unique Villa Grock.

Porto Maurizio is the port area, featuring hotels, nightlife spots, and excellent beaches.
