Four fountains from the late Renaissance period located at the intersection of Via delle Quattro Fontane and Via del Quirinale in the city center, between the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore and Piazza di Spagna. At each corner of the intersection are sculptures depicting the rivers Tiber and Aniene, a tributary of the Tiber, known as Anio in ancient Rome, which supplied water to most of the Roman aqueducts. The other two fountains feature female figures representing the goddess Diana — a symbol of modesty — and the goddess Juno, a symbol of power. A very picturesque intersection and highly recommended for a visit.
