An impressive structure in the Lombard Romanesque style, located on the outskirts of the city at the foot of the mountain range.
The church was built on the ruins of an earlier church and is the work of local builders (known as the Comacini, renowned across Europe).
The façade consists of five sections that correspond to the longitudinal aisles inside the church.
Further along are two bell towers on the exterior, and inside is a fascinating series of frescoes depicting the story of Jesus.
