The settlement is located in the Campobasso area, in the heart of the mountains, and serves as a ski activity center in winter. In the past, it was a solitary spot at the top of the mountain, mainly used by shepherds.

Economic development in the 1960s accelerated the construction of a convenient access road and a cable car for ski enthusiasts. The view from above, with snow-capped peaks, is breathtakingly beautiful.
