This is the most prominent building in the city, renowned for its eye-catching dome and bell tower. The dome, 120 meters high, dating back to the 13th century, is remarkable not only for its shape but also for the columns surrounding its three central levels. Beside it stands the bell tower from the 18th century, which replaced the church’s previous ear-piercing bells. Inside, the church features an impressive iron chandelier, symbolizing the historic meeting between Bishop Gaudenzio of Novara and Bishop Ambrogio of Milan.
