An art gem in the heart of the city. Around 2,000 works: paintings, musical instruments, and sculptures. One of the most famous pieces is Caravaggio’s Meditation of Saint Francis, with its minute details surrounding the saint and the melancholy expression in his eyes. Visitors should not miss the wealth of other works, as well as the altarpiece from the Cremona church displayed in the Sala Palatina. The museum also houses the collection of string instruments by Carlo Alberto Carutti. It is located just a short walk from the cathedral.
