It took quite some time to uncover the remains of the original church beneath the current one. The ancient structure likely dates back to the 5th century, while the present building, which has undergone many changes over the years, is from the Lombard period of 1178. The entrance gate has been well preserved, and the interior is very simple, enhancing the medieval atmosphere and unique beauty. In the apse stands a wooden statue of the Archangel Michael.
