Torre Brandale

These towers, built in the 12th century, were part of the city walls and played an important role in defending the city. The central tower, with its clock and bell, was nicknamed by locals “Campanassa.” The adjacent structure was added in the early 14th century and overlooks the square. It was added to house the abbot of the city’s monastery. The tower contains numerous artifacts, making it considered an open-air museum, with inscriptions, tools, and symbols of the noble families who governed the city.
