One of Monza’s most famous squares, Piazza Trento e Trieste is located not far from the Duomo and the city museums. In the Middle Ages, this area hosted the weekly market, and during the month of June, it held the annual San Giovanni fair, which marked the arrival of summer—a tradition still celebrated in towns and cities across Italy.
Today, the square is a popular social gathering place for both locals and tourists, surrounded by several important buildings, including the city hall and the World War I memorial.
