Villa Menafoglio was built in the 18th century by Paolo Antonio Menafoglio, who purchased the land, turned it into a guest estate, and developed surrounding Italian-style gardens with lawns, sculptures, and fountains. Over the years, the villa passed through different owners and today serves as a museum of modern art, focusing on American artists favored by its last owner, Count Giuseppe Panza di Biumo, alongside the villa’s original frescoes and stucco decorations.
