The Broletto buildings rise prominently in the city center, south of Piazza del Duomo. The complex consists of four medieval-style buildings, designed by different architects. Among the most notable is the Palazzo Arengario, located on the northern side, impressive for its medieval architecture. Another remarkable building is the Palazzo del Podestà, recognized for its arched windows. In the past, the courtyard and these palaces were the hub of the city’s public life. Today, the complex hosts rotating exhibitions, while the Arengario hall is reserved for public ceremonies and special art exhibitions.
