Tremezzo is a beautiful town located in the central part of the lake’s western shore. Since 2014, Tremezzo has merged with the neighboring towns of Mezzegra, Ossuccio, and Lenno to form a single municipality called Tremezzina. It is situated across from Bellagio and is known for Villa Carlotta, an 18th-century villa that houses several noteworthy artworks and is surrounded by a charming botanical garden filled with hundreds of rhododendrons and other flowers. The town is a popular vacation destination and served as the setting for the film Grand Hotel (1932), starring Greta Garbo. Around Via Portici S. Pietro, you’ll find restaurants, cafés, and shops.
