Portovenere + Isola di Palmaria

At the tip of the peninsula extending from the Gulf of La Spezia (also known as the Gulf of Poets) lies the port town of Portovenere, a colorful and picturesque village famous for its harbor street, which features 60 buildings that are 6 to 8 stories tall. This street is called the Palazzata di Porto Venere and creates a stunning view.

From there, you can take a boat to the small island opposite, Palmaria Island (Isola di Palmaria), and enjoy a peaceful nature reserve, bird songs, and short hiking trails.
