It’s worth visiting the Basilica di San Savino for its amazing mosaic floor.
The Baroque façade is completely different from the crypt area, which is built with arches and mosaic work (dating from 1100). The mosaics depict, among other things, the months of the year and the zodiac wheel.
Take a look at the figures playing chess and their dialogue, the depictions of characters engaged in battle, the black-and-white decorations, and the overall layout on the floor that creates an amazing artistic carpet.
