Address: Municipality of Malcesine - Piazza Statuto, 1 - Malcesine (Verona)

A central town on the eastern shore, considered the pearl of the lake. Its name derives from its unique location: an inaccessible rock — Malasilex. The town has several sites worth visiting. A 12th-century fortress (Castello Scaligero) houses a fascinating museum about the natural life of the lake, alongside artifacts, stories about special ships, and maritime routes from the Venetian rule period, as well as the geological history of the area. The picturesque alleys—some narrow, others with flower boxes and river stones—ultimately lead to the main square, Piazza Guglielmo Marconi, located on the lake and home to a small harbor from which you can take boat trips to neighboring towns (like Limone or Riva).
You can stroll through the alleys, enjoy the shops, the magical atmosphere, and countless restaurants. Above the town towers Monte Baldo, which can be reached by cable car.
