The church stands out to everyone who comes to it thanks to its unique structure. It is located in the Piazza 20 September (Piazza Venti settembre) and its base is octagonal in shape, which earned it the nickname “La Rotonda.” It was built in 1600 to house a very beloved artwork of the city’s residents, depicting the Virgin. Today, the artwork stands on the altar and is entirely surrounded by paintings and sculptures in various styles.
