A magical coastline combining cliffs, coves, natural woodland, and clear sea waters, crowned by Monte San Biagio with the statue of Christ spreading his arms over the faithful. This statue is the largest in Italy (22 meters) and one of the largest in the world. In the town of Maratea, it’s worth seeing the white houses and the small alleys decorated with flowers. Just off the coast lies the island of l’Isola di Santo Janni, home to the “dragon” of the same name, a unique and protected lizard.
