Cattedrale di Maria Assunta

The main church of the city, inaugurated in 1605, was actually built on the remains of an older structure, parts of which can still be seen within the church. The architectural style is Baroque, alongside a bell tower whose construction was completed only in modern times. Inside, there are artworks, some dating from the 17th century, as well as the relics of Saint Valentine, patron of lovers. Nearby is an older chapel, dating back to 1481, built at the request of Pope Sixtus IV, decorated with frescoes and featuring a charming inner courtyard. Today, the site hosts events and concerts.
