Address: Piazza Matteotti 8 - 37011 Bardolino (VR)

Bardolino is considered the wine town of Lake Garda—or at least of its eastern side. Facing the town are hillside slopes covered in vineyards, many of which produce the famous red Bardolino wine. As a result, the town is filled with many shops selling Bardolino wine from different harvest seasons.
In the town, among the alleys leading to the lake, you can also visit a 9th-century church (San Zeno) with original frescoes, alongside architectural influences from nearby Venice. Other ancient churches worth seeing include Chiesa di San Severo, also dating back to the 9th century.
A short drive south brings you to the Olive Oil Museum, which features nine rooms illustrating the long history of one of the world’s oldest foods.
From Bardolino, there’s a road leading away from the lake toward the highway, providing a useful route out of the traffic jams that often surround the lake during peak seasons.
