Rome-Ciampino Airport is the second most important international airport in Rome. It is a very small airport that serves various low-cost flights, including Ryanair and Wizzair. Some other low-cost airlines, like easyJet, have now shifted operations to Leonardo da Vinci Airport – Fiumicino.
Rome-Ciampino Airport is located 7.5 kilometers from the city center and handles about 6 million passengers a year.
The airport provides arriving travelers with several public transportation options – buses, taxis, and trains.
In addition to these, there are private companies that offer shuttle services and premium transfers to and from the airport by prior reservation.
Many companies offer private transfers (some also offer premium transfers with luxury vehicles). A driver will wait for you at the exit in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name.

There is a taxi service available from Ciampino Airport to the center of Rome at the entrance of the airport.
The taxis are white and can be recognized by the “TAXI” sign on the roof and the license identification number displayed on the doors, rear, and inside the vehicle.

Ciampino Airlink service is a combination of train and bus. From Rome’s main train station, Termini, you can take a train to Ciampino station (15 minutes) and from there, a convenient local bus is available to take passengers to Ciampino airport within minutes.
